CCL to observe "Vigilance Awareness Week"

Central Coalfields Limited will be observing Vigilance Awareness Week from October 31st to November 5, 2016 on the theme "Public participation in promoting Integrity and eradicating Corruption" at its headquarters, Darbhanga House and all its area offices, which is spread out in eight districts of Jharkhand. A week long campaign has been aimed to rededicate to the mission of inculcating honesty and integrity in every spheres of life.

The CVO, CCL Shri Arbind Prasad informed that the Commission has envisaged a concept of "Integrity Pledge" to enlist support and commitment of the citizens and organizations for upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct, honesty and integrity. The link of integrity e-pledges will be available on the Commission’s website at http://www.cvc.nic.in from 31st October 2016 onwards. The home page of CVC website shows option for taking the pledge either "as a citizen" or “ as an organizations." Where there is lack of web access to the public especially in rural areas, a provision of "mass pledge" has been made. CVO, CCL has conveyed the message of the Commission to the citizens and organizations including students, employees and their families to take part in the “Integrity Pledge” to stand together in the fight against corruption.

In addition to the above following other activities will be taken up during the Vigilance Awareness Week in CCL:

1. Pledge will be administered by CMD, CCL at CCL headquarters to all its employees at 11 am
where functional Directors and CVO will remain present.

2. The Vigilance department has arranged a street play, highlighting ill effects of corruption
in the society at CCL headquarters followed by Vigilance Awareness March from Darbhanga
House to Jawahar Nagar Club, Kanke Road.

3. The company would be conducting various programme such as quiz, essay writing, slogan&
poster competition etc for the employees and students in schools/colleges at HQs/Areas.

4. Grievance redressal camp for vendors, customers and stakeholders will be arranged at HQs and
Area offices.

5. A seminar on the theme of Awareness Week and a Talk on "moral values, ethics and good
governance "will be held at VicharManch.

6. Workshops on Vigilance matters will be arranged in the Area
