Central
Hospital, Ranchi, is the highest referral center for whole of
Central Coalfields Limited. It is situated at Ranchi, the capital
city of Jharkhand. It was more than three decade since the Central
Hospital, Gandhinagar; Ranchi was commissioned on 26th January
1965 with capacity of 30 beds only. Every step has been taken
since then in the direction of bringing quality healthcare for
every employee and its eligible beneficiaries. What has begun as a
vision is a reality; Central Hospital, Gandhinagar; Ranchi is now
a 250 bedded apex hospital of CCL.
The
Jubilee Block of Central Hospital, Gandhinagar was started on 17th
March 1983. Intensive Coronary Care Unit, dialysis Unit were
added. Radiology department was up graded with installation of an
image intensifier. Physical and Medical Rehabilitation Department
(physiotherapy unit) started, hospital kitchen was modernized and
mechanized.
Thereafter, 1st floor cabins and 6 bedded modern ICCU with bedside
monitor along with central monitoring system, pulse oxy-meter,
oxygen concentrator, defibrillators, multi-channel computerized
ECG and ventilators were added for the management of critically
ill cardiac patients.
In the year 2004 the hospital was awarded ISO 9001:2000
certificate, first hospital to get this international certificate
of quality in the State of Jharkhand and second in CIL. The
emphasis is on continual improvement in services and facilities
with warmth and compassion.
In the
year 2006 state – of – the – art Critical Care Unit with bedside
monitor along with central monitoring system, pulse oxy-meter,
oxygen concentrator, defibrillators, multi-channel computerized
ECG and ventilators was dedicated to the employees by Sri R P
Retolia, CMD CCL.
Central Hospital, Gandhinagar; Ranchi is a simple integration of
