Coal India Ltd(CIL)/Central Coalfields Ltd(CCL) celebrated its 45th Foundation Day at CCL headquarters, Darbhanga House, Ranchi (Jharkhand) as well as all areas with enthusiasm and fervoron Friday.The program started with Director(Personnel) Shri R S Mahapatro, Director(Finance) Shri N K Agrawala, General Managers and HODs from headquarters, who paid homage to coal martyrs at Shaheed Ashmarak(Darbhanga House) that laid their lives for the Nation. Also, bunch of balloons were released in the air to mark the celebration. 

As part of the celebrations, 382 employees including 65were given mass promotion.

While addressing a huge gathering, Director (Personnel) Shri R S Mahapatroextended warm wishes to every member of CCL's extended family on the occasion of the Foundation Day, said that today is a day of pride and happiness for all of us. Speaking about the achievements of the company, Shri Mahapatro said that CCL has been successfully discharging its responsibility to fulfill the energy needs of the country. Each and every of CCL's stakeholder has played an important role in this unprecedented success, he said. Elaborating on the success of welfare activities being undertaken by CCL in the fields of education, sports, medicine, skill development etc. for the inclusive growth of society, has add to our success, he added. For these outstanding works of CCL, we have been recognized by national institutions, Government of India, etc. on different forums, Mr. Mahapatra told everyone. 

Director (Finance) Shri N K Agrawala, GM (TS to CMD) Shri M V Rajimwale. GM (NIMC) Shri SS Ahmed and others also addressed the gathering. Program was coordinated by Sr Manager (Finance) Shri A D Wadhwa, while vote of thanks was proposed by GM Shri G K Rathore.
