Closing ceremony of the 59th Annual Mines Security Week held

Closing ceremony of the 59th Annual Mines Security Week was held on 14th May at the Dakra Stadium in the NK area of CCL. The program was organized under the aegis of the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Kodarma and Ranchi and hosted by the CCL's NK area. Chief Guest of the function Deputy Director, DGMS Dr. Asim Kumar Sinha, South Eastern zone, Ranchi and CMD, CCL, Shri Gopal Singh headed the closing ceremony. General Manager, NK Area Sri K.K. Mishra gave the welcome speech. On this occasion Director (personnel), Sri R.S. Mahapatra, Director (technical/ Operations) Sri Subir Chandra, Dy. Director (Mine Safety) DGMS Centre Zone, Dhanbad Mr Sanjeevan Rai, Director (Mine Safety) DGMS, Ranchi area Sri Mihir Choudhary and other guests were present to grace the occasion.

In his remarks the chief guest Dr. Ashim Sinha said that strengthening inspection of mines is our priority with respect to Safety. Worker, supervisor, Manager and Sr. officials came ensure the safety the mines by regular assessment.  

Addressing the gathering CMD CCL/BCCL Sri Gopal Singh said that the program's main objectives, is to ensure “zero accident rate in the mines.  He reiterated that CCL's priority is the safety of the mines. Sri Singh said that there are two facet of any accident and negligence is one of them. It should be our priority to remove it and we must start with ourselves.


Various cultural programmes were held on this occasion and were appreciated by one and all.
